Lauren started LK Events in 2009 after years in hospitality and event catering in Chicago and the greater Chicagoland area. She kept finding herself reaching past her typical catering work to help with planning and making her clients feel like the ultimate host. Her team often lovingly refers to her as a golden retriever puppy because she gets so excited about all things planning. Tail wagging, jumping...excited! While working in catering, Lauren simply couldn’t “stay in her lane” so took her passion over to the planning side. It’s been over a decade and she has been energized by each and every celebration since.
Lauren's family has always been such a big part of her life from day one, and she has always loved getting to know all about yours. Learning about your own family dynamics, along with your new family too is not only fun, but it sets the stage for us to plan the most unique and incredibly personalized celebration together. That foundation is what helps us pull together the tiny details that are the most unforgettable parts of your wedding day, and when people walk in they always will think "Oh my gosh, this is so THEM!"
When Lauren isn't not working, she is still always planning somehow! It is usually finding the perfect table setting and glassware to complement her newest bourbon cocktail recipe (or any cocktail, she loves trading recipes!) or scouring the new additions in the Whole Foods cheese department to share with friends.
