I started LK Events in 2009 after years in hospitality and event catering here in Chicago. I kept finding myself reaching past my typical catering work to help with planning and making my clients feel like the ultimate host. Allison has lovingly referred to me as a golden retriever puppy because I get so excited about all things planning. Tail wagging, jumping...excited! While working in catering, I couldn’t “stay in my lane” so took my passion over to the planning side. It’s been over a decade and I have been energized by each and every celebration since.
My family has always been such a big part of my life from day one, and I’ve always loved getting to know all about yours. Learning about your own family dynamics, along with your new family too is not only fun, but it sets the stage for us to plan the most unique and incredibly personalized celebration together. That foundation is what helps us pull together the tiny details that are the most unforgettable parts of your wedding day, and when people walk in they always will think "Oh my gosh, this is so THEM!"
When I am not working, I am still always planning somehow! It is usually finding the perfect table setting and glassware to complement my newest bourbon cocktail recipe (or any cocktail, I love trading recipes!) or scouring the new additions in the Whole Foods cheese department (my next career?!) to share with friends.
