Sometimes I get to work with a couple for only a short amount of time to help bring all of the details together for their wedding day. This was the case with Cara and Brent and their rockstar team of event professionals. Cara chose to get ready at The Trump Hotel with her bridesmaids and Dennis Lee was able to capture all of the special details and moments between the ladies. When Brent was ready, he arrived at the hotel and the two of them were able to have their private First Look along the Chicago River. How idyllic! We then grabbed the wedding party and took a few photos around Chicago before we arrive at The Ivy Room for the celebration.
Cara had chosen a color scheme of white, cream and mauve with grey and green accents. This came through in all of the florals and stationery details provided by Hello Darling. From the curvy willow branches chuppah, to the green sprigs of olive tucked into each napkin, every area that you looked at during the entire day was thoughtfully arranged. Cara and Brent chose to get married in the courtyard at sunset, with the Rabbi Goldberg officiating. It was the epitome of romance and elegance. Guests then remained outside for cocktail hour and moved indoors for the reception.
The evening’s celebration was in the East Coast style, with dancing occurring in between dinner courses. The Becca Kaufman Orchestra had guests packing the dance floor, while The Ivy Room provided amazing courses like the Duet of Nichols Farm Chicory Salad with Cauliflower Bisque. Guests called this the celebration to end all celebrations and were over the moon for Cara and Brent. Congratulations you two!!
