I first met Hannah and Abe when they were finalizing the contract for the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel to host their wedding ceremony and reception. We love having the opportunity to get involved before a venue contract is signed so that we can help catch any missing elements and to make sure it is the perfect fit for their unique celebration! Just like buying a house, it’s important to think of how your overall vision and budget aligns with your venue. You don’t want to buy a house you can’t fill with furniture!
When we finalized a date that allowed for Hannah and Abe to be married in their preferred season while also giving their out of town guests affordable room rates, we were ready to hit the ground running with planning the rest of their wedding. Creating a wedding that was truly reflective of their personal style was extremely important to them, and I had the best time getting to know them through the process. A true party with a packed dance floor was extremely important, as were the food choices (hello, Hannah is a local food blogger!).
While Hannah and Abe really look the lead on selecting and editing their menu to suit their preferences, I stepped in to guide them on rounding out their vendor team who would execute their wedding perfectly. The Lakeshore Encores were the best fit to deliver a jam-packed dance floor and to hit all of the genres for music that really excited them. Hannah had found some wedding photography images online and connected with the style and composition that the photographer used. Having had a chance to get to know Hannah and Abe better, I confidently recommended the amazing duo of Pen/Carlson to capture their day. It was a perfect fit and as you can see below, the images are stunning!
Allison from Stems hit the nail on the head with her lush and organic styled bouquets and centerpieces. Hannah loves neutrals with a bohemian flair, so we drew upon the existing décor elements of the CAA along with a southern California floral style. The room was so beautiful and timeless and so perfectly suited for Hannah and Abe!
Wishing Hannah and Abe a marriage as full of beauty, love, laughter (and incredible food!) as their wedding day.
XO, Allison
