When I first met Alicia and John, I immediately knew they had a love that will last forever. They are a couple that just understands each other and put each other’s needs first. We had so much fun putting together their final details for their perfect Fall celebration.
Alicia and John got ready at the Sheraton Grand Chicago and had an idyllic First Look in the park across the street. Autumn and Melinda captured such beautiful family photos and couple portraits along the Chicago River. What a gorgeous couple! As the chill of the Fall day set in, we then moved over to The Ivy Room for some final photos and some downtime before the ceremony began.
Throughout the day, Alicia and John could be found smiling or laughing and that joy was a blessing to see. Their joy and love came through in the faith-filled ceremony that they planned with their Pastor. It was simply beautiful! After the ceremony, guests moved downstairs for the cocktail hour. Meanwhile, we transformed the ballroom space with some beautiful floral and greenery that complimented the stunning bouquet that Pistil & Vine created for Alicia. I loved the detail of an old Coca-Cola bottle at each place setting for guests to use when toasting during dinner. It was a family tradition that Alicia wanted to be included in the wedding day and all of the guests loved it!
After very heartfelt toasts from Alicia’s father, maids of honor, and the best man, guests enjoyed a dinner of salmon or filet of beef. Alicia and John enjoyed their First Dance to Die A Happy Man and then the dance floor opened to everyone for a night of celebration! Congratulations to Alicia & John…and to your brand new baby girl!
