Sima & Jonathan were only a few months away from their wedding date when they met with us. They were feeling overwhelmed and frustrated with the planning process and were seeking someone that could calm them and be responsive to their questions and needs. One of the most important aspects of Sima & Jonathan’s wedding day was to celebrate their love while blending their cultures and families. For them, this meant having two ceremonies in one day, which required the management of a lot of details.
Through final wrap up meetings and reassuring communication, Sima & Jonathan were able to go into their celebration with a sense of peace and excitement. From the Baraat and Jain Ceremony to the Christian Ceremony and a packed dance floor of guests, this cultural celebration was captured by Jennifer Kathryn Photography and Oak Street Films. So many of the details of their wedding day incorporated Sima & Jonathan’s style – the Jain Ceremony programs from India, the Christian ceremony that they wrote out together, the attire for the day, and the breathtaking décor.
Sylwia Spirala from Yanni Design Studio worked with Sima to create an ivory, crystal and gold look for the Jain Ceremony. That look was repurposed for the Christian Ceremony and reception, with the addition of purple dendrobium orchid petals. Guests were not only dazzled by the décor that transformed The Stonegate event spaces, but their appetites were taken care of by the culinary delights from The Stonegate and Saffron Dining. Lunch included Puran Pooli and Fettucini Alfredo, while dinner featured Dal Makhani, Paneer Makhani and a Baked Vegetable Purse.
Sima & Jonathan chose a different song to introduce their wedding party and families into the reception and saved Feels Like Home by Chantal Kreviazuk as their First Dance. With two additional dance performances during the reception, Sima & Jonathan showcased their love of each other and each other’s families! Congratulations Sima & Jonathan!
