With one of the first snowfalls on the ground, I am looking anywhere I can for some warmth and reminders of summer. I did not need to look further than Analisa and Andres’ wedding day in Lake Geneva. While this was a destination lakeside wedding for guests and event professionals alike, Analisa’s family’s hospitality and spirit made it feel like everyone was right at home. I was so lucky to be able to spend time planning with such a fun and stylish couple and cannot wait to share photos of their incredible summer wedding!
The wedding weekend started off with a stellar rehearsal dinner featuring a dinner cruise on Lady of the Lake! While DJ Felix rocked the boat, guests dined on passed appetizers that all had a personal meaning – mini brat and beer shots for the Wisconsin destination, prosciutto and melon for Analisa’s Italian heritage, culminating to a fantastic fajita station for Andres’ Texas roots! Lady of the Lake’s tour showcased the many sides of Lake Geneva and gave so many of their out of town guests a personal tour.
With the wedding day upon us, the sun was shining bright and there was not a cloud in the sky! Analisa and Andres created a personal and touching ceremony in front of their family and friends while overlooking the ponds and greens of BigFoot Country Club. After the ceremony, guests got to sip on refreshing Paloma cocktails, their signature cocktail based on their engagement in Mexico. I had so much fun with Analisa and her mother to help create an incredible oasis of lush pink and white roses and hydrangeas to fill the ballroom with romance. The luxurious gold brocade linens from BBJ Chicago set the stage for Frontier Flowers of Fontana to wow guests with tall centerpieces filled to the brim with garden roses, O’Hara pink and white roses, pink and white hydrangea, and more. The showstopper was an incredible rose garland for the head table!
After a dinner filled with touching speeches and homemade Sunday gravy courtesy of the bride’s family for the second course, we created a grand reveal of the romantic secondary ballroom exclusively for dancing the night away. MDM Entertainment added a timeless ivory fabric drape with amber uplights around the perimeter of the room to create a warm and romantic setting for High Society to rock the night away. A creative back bar filled with flowers and candles helped set the mood as guests danced with pink and white feather boas or enjoyed the lounge seating to take a breather.
I had such a special experience getting to know Analisa, Andres, and their families and will forever have such fond memories of Lake Geneva because of their love and kindness. Luckily I get to relive the day thanks to the outstanding Averyhouse who captures the emotion and beauty of every wedding.
