Becky & Dave, Adler Planetarium

Becky and Dave’s relationship is the perfect example of absence making the heart grow fonder as the two met at a friend’s wedding while Becky was living abroad in London. Once Becky was back stateside, they still were doing long distance with Becky in Chicago and Dave in Kalamazoo. Dave proposed over a romantic dinner and beautiful sunset.

Fast forward to their wedding weekend, the festivities started with their rehearsal at Wicker Park Lutheran Church followed by their rehearsal dinner at Harry Caray’s.

Goran Coban Salon and KC Harder & Rocio Panther teamed up to get the ladies ready and then the ladies headed back to the JW Marriott for photos. The guys had an easy morning while they hung out at the DoubleTree Magnificent Mile. Brian Kinyon Photography was onsite to capture the day. Priest from Limotainment took excellent care of our Wedding Party while V.I.P. Valet Services & Windy City Limousine took care of our guests.

Becky wore a beautiful ball gown and carried a bouquet of white roses, callas and cymbidium orchids. Fleurs de Lisa made a wreath out of white hydrangea for the Unity Candle that their Grandma had made, and placed white hydrangea with bows down the aisle. Pastor Jason Glombicki from Wicker Park Lutheran Church performed a beautiful and heartfelt ceremony for Becky & Dave. After the ceremony, the Wedding Party went around the city for photos and then arrived at the Adler Planetarium in time for Cocktail Hour.

Fleurs de Lisa showed their talent and beautiful work by creating three gorgeous centerpieces. The first featured white hydrangea, fuschia stock and white callas that set atop a tall square vase. Then there were white-fuschia orchids with tall cylinders of white callas, tulips and dendrobs with floating candles. The final centerpiece were beautiful fuschia tulips in a simple square vase. Food for Thought delighted everyone with their entrees of Herb Crusted Whitefish and the Dijon Rubbed Grilled Beef Tenderloin and gave exceptional service throughout the night.

Chris from Spin started the reception with the Wedding Party introductions followed by Becky & Dave cutting their beautiful cake from Luscious Layers and then their first dance. The Father of the Bride gave a welcome and a toast followed by a Blessing from the Father of the Groom. During the first course, the guests listened to toasts given by the Maid of Honor and Best Man. While everyone was finishing their yummy dinners Becky and Dave gave their toast and then Becky danced with her Father and then Dave with his Mother.

After the dances were over, Chris from Spin invited everyone to the dance floor and kept the party going. Guests would take breaks and hit the amazing sweets table from Luscious Layers that was set up of with all types of cupcakes, cream pies, lemon squares, brownies and whoopee pies.

It was a wonderful day and we were so glad to be a part of it. It’s been so exciting keeping in touch with Becky and Dave and getting updates on their first year of marriage, where they have not only bought a new home but they are expecting their first baby this year too. So exciting and congrats Becky and Dave!
