We had the best day on our photo shoot! Special thanks to Tammy Leathem of Leathem Photography for spending the day with our team and capturing some amazing shots! Sonia Roselli’s Hair and Make Up Team pampered us prior to our shoot and a special thanks to the Ivy Room and A New Leaf for allowing us to use their venues for our photo session. We are so thankful for our vendors – who have become dear friends of ours throughout our years working together and we could not do what we do without you! In honor of the Thanksgiving Holiday – we have shared our new photos and thankful thoughts! Enjoy!

I am thankful for my family – my parents Robb and Nancy, my brother Rob, his wife Allison and their two kids, Robby and Grace. I am thankful for my sister and best friend Jen, my brother Joe and his wife Jen, my sister in law Amy, her husband Matty and their two kids Clare and Johnny, my in laws, Kathi and Skip, my brother in law Mike and my husband’s grandmothers – Lucia and Anne. I am thankful for my husband Bryan and our son, Jack who will be born in March. I am thankful for my health and energy during this pregnancy. I am grateful for the support of my husband, family, friends and colleagues who have given me the strength and unconditional love to start this company and continue to support me. I am grateful for my colleagues – Nicole, Jennifer and Jamie who have taken the reins and allowed me to take some time off this year and take a step back next year while I prepare for the new addition to our family. LK Events would not be the company it is today without the incredible team efforts of these ladies – their passion, dedication and hearts are truly remarkable and are the reasons their clients adore them. When I decided to grow this company, all I hoped for was to find planners who had the same passion and dedication I did. These ladies have surpassed my expectations and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for them and this company. [hr]

This week I find myself giving thanks for the many blessings in my life. I am thankful for my faith – it is something to rejoice on a good day and something to cling to on a bad day. I am thankful for my heart opening to love AJ. I am thankful for my parents – Mark & Jeanne – their unconditional love and support and their model for a marriage. I am thankful for my brothers – Shaun & Christopher – and their families – they remind me every day that family is everything and will be right by your side through the good, the bad and the ugly. I am thankful for my health – it is something to never take for granted and I am blessed I have my physical, mental and spiritual health to get me through my day. I am thankful for my friends – their support through my hectic work schedule is unceasing and they are always there when I need a shoulder to cry on, a belly laugh session or a glass of wine. Lastly, I am thankful for my LK Events family – Lauren, Jennifer & Jamie – it is much more joyful to work with a team than all by oneself and I am so grateful I met these three brilliant and beautiful ladies and get to work with them every day.

I am thankful for my parents always believing in me & showing me what marriage is all about. For my grandparents who were married over fifty-five years and I’m so grateful to still have my Grandma Nelson with me. For my sister raising my two amazing nephews & my new brother-in-law and two step-nephews & step-niece. For my extended family who have always had a part in my life.
I am thankful for Oliver & Gloria, my “furry kids” & for the meds that keep Ollie healthy. For amazing friends that are honest, understanding, supportive & fun to kick it with. For our military who serve & protect us daily especially my two “little” cousins who serve in the Air Force. For the chances I took that turned out to be the best decisions of my life – without those chances I wouldn’t be in Chicago & I wouldn’t be with LK Events. For my LK Ladies for all the support, encouragement, friendship and wine.

Thanksgiving has always been a time for family to get together, and spend time together. This is highly important in my family as it is the one holiday a year we are all able to be together, and I am thankful for just that. My family has been through a lot of ups and downs this past year but the most important thing and what I am most thankful for is the courage and strength my family has had to keep pushing on! I am very happy to have a career I love, a roof over my head to keep me warm from these freezing Chicago winters, and food in the fridge. I couldn’t ask for better friends surrounding me and supporting me in all I do.
