I just love getting referred to new brides from past brides – especially when they are best friends! After planning three of her friends’ weddings, Tiffany contacted me about planning her own nuptials to her fiancé, Brandt and I was so excited! Not only did this give me a chance to work with such an incredible person who is now a dear friend of mine, but I was able to re-connect with my past clients and now we get together often. I am so fortunate to have made such close friends simply from planning their weddings. These relationships are the reason I love what I do; being able to plan weddings for fabulous brides who become dear friends of mine in the process.
Brandt proposed to Tiffany at a charity event in front of their friends and family and even had a friend record it live so Tiffany could always remember the moment she got engaged. Brandt put so much thought and detail into this incredible proposal that Tiffany knew she wanted to do the same for their wedding. They were married at St. Alphonsus Church in Lakeview and chose the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum for their reception. Since we had a dancing crowd – we kept the South Gallery open for dessert and dancing and were lucky enough to have a gorgeous September night in Chicago, where we could dine outside on the terrace.Guests enjoyed Sweet Tea Vodka Lemonades in Mason Jars along with a “southern inspired” dinner thanks to Blue Plate Catering.
Jesse Deckard (formerly with Event Creative) designed the guest tables that were adorned with mercury glass globe risers, illuminated from within and topped with ivory floating candles, surrounded by hydrangeas and deep purple dendrobium orchid blossoms. We used leather crystal studded tufted boxes filled with a bed of purple seafoam statis, purple hydrangea, garden stock and dendrobium orchids on the remaining guest tables. We suspended paper lanterns over the dance floor illuminated in purple along with hundreds of twinkling candles on the window ledges surrounding the South Gallery.
Tiffany surprised Brandt with a Tipsy Cake grooms cake featuring an Ed Hardy T Shirt with a Protein Shake – he loved it! Guests danced the night away, thanks to Dustin with Toast and Jam. Christina Noel and I Do Films captured every moment of this magnificent wedding weekend. Congrats Tiffany and Brandt!
